Patient care customized
for you

Treating the cause rather than symptoms of a medical problem is what we do at the A.T. Still University Osteopathic Medicine Center Arizona. Our osteopathic approach to whole body health focuses on the connection of your body, mind, and spirit, with hands-on treatment which can provide relief from pain as soon as your first visit.

Our physicians are specialists in osteopathic manipulative medicine, which offers relief from pain while treating the underlying causes of injury to the neck, back, shoulders, arms, legs, hands, or feet.

What is osteopathic manipulative medicine?

Osteopathic physicians (DO) are fully licensed medical doctors, who also receive additional training in osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM). Our physicians at ATSU’s Osteopathic Medicine Center Arizona further specialize in OMM, which is a whole-body, holistic approach to health care focused on problems of the musculoskeletal system that result in pain or medical problems due to restricted motion.

OMM treatment involves a hands-on, soft tissue technique to help restore normal motion to restricted areas that cause pain. Both acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain can be successfully treated with OMM, which simultaneously facilitates your body’s own inherent healing capacity.

Benefits of osteopathic manipulative medicine treatment

Osteopathic manipulative medicine treatment has been proven to provide relief from a variety of painful problems, without invasive surgery or need for prescription or over-the-counter drugs. Results vary by individual, but relief is often provided from the first treatment.

What makes the ATSU Osteopathic Medicine Center Arizona different?

The physicians at ATSU’s Osteopathic Medicine Center Arizona will give you one-on-one time to address all your concerns, formulate a treatment plan, and deliver a hands-on OMM treatment. You will complete your initial visit with a treatment program which may include nutrition advice, a home exercise/stretching prescription, and appropriate traditional medical recommendations. Each subsequent visit will include both OMM treatment and follow-up on your treatment plan.
