Mohamed M. Rahhal, BDS, PhD, MSc is a prosthodontist and implantologist with extensive academic and clinical experience. He began his professional career in 2006, establishing his own dental practice in Egypt. In 2007, he entered academia as a teaching assistant at Misr International University. From 2009 to 2018, he served as an assistant professor at the Modern Sciences and Arts University in Cairo and later held the same position at Fayoum University from 2018 to 2021.
Dr. Rahhal earned his bachelor of dental surgery (BDS) from Cairo University in 2006. He went on to obtain a master's degree in prosthodontics and implantology from Cairo University (2009-2012), followed by a doctoral degree in the same field (2013-2016). Additionally, he holds an advanced implantology diploma from the University of Naples, Italy, and a fellowship from the Egyptian Society of Oral Implantology.
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Rahhal has spent over eight years conducting training in prosthodontics and prosthetic implant dentistry. He also completed a six-month externship with the Department of Periodontology at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.
Currently, Dr. Rahhal is an assistant professor and the prosthodontics specialty care unit director at A.T. Still University’s Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH). He also serves as the course director for Interprofessional Education. In recognition of his leadership, he holds a position as an officer in the Implant Special Interest Group (SIG) at the American Dental Education Association (ADEA).
Dr. Rahhal has been a featured speaker and presenter at several prestigious conferences, including the “ACDE Live Webinar,” “UTHealth Houston,” “University of Iowa Faculty Conference,” “ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition,” “MOSDOH Research Day,” “All Together Better Health Conference,” in Qatar, the “Association of SP Educators Conference,” and the “AEEDC Dubai” on several occasions.
