Continuing Medical Education (CME) accreditation and compliance
A.T. Still University is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to sponsor continuing medical education activities for physicians. ATSU received a perfect score of 100% on the 2016 re-accreditation survey and has been awarded ” 5-years of Accreditation with Commendation” status.
As an accredited provider of CME by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), the Continuing Education department is involved early in the development of every educational activity for which category 1 credits are provided. If an activity is organized by an entity outside of Continuing Education, significant faculty involvement is required.
Competencies Meeting requirements for continuing education is essential not only to maintain licensure but also to ensure your leading-edge knowledge that helps you grow as a leader who champions the health of your community.
Competencies are closely aligned with Interprofessional Education, the American Osteopathic Association, and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.
